Complete Motor Assembly

SEBO Part #5468 is supplied as more than just the bare motor. The factory parts schematic identifies the motor assembly with the following components:

  • SEBO 5468 - 120V / 1300W Vacuum Motor
  • SEBO 5462 - Motor Pulley
  • SEBO 5100 - Rubber Motor Mounting

Common Reasons to Replace

  • Vacuum motor has failed
  • Motor will no longer run
  • Motor operates intermittently
  • Excessive motor noise
  • Burning smell or electrical odor from the motor
  • Worn motor bearings
  • Loss of suction caused by a failing motor
  • Motor damage discovered during vacuum repair

Common Symptoms

  • Vacuum will not turn on even though electrical supply is reaching the motor
  • Motor sounds unusually loud, rough or high-pitched
  • Intermittent motor operation
  • Burning or electrical smell
  • Sparking or excessive arcing from the motor
  • Reduced suction after other airflow restrictions have been eliminated

Before You Order

Please verify your SEBO model and properly diagnose the vacuum before ordering. SEBO Part #5468 is the genuine 120V / 1300W vacuum motor used in compatible Automatic X4, X4 Boost, X5, and Essential G Series upright vacuums.

A vacuum that will not run does not automatically have a failed motor. Power cords, switches, wiring, electronic controls, thermal protection, and other electrical components should be checked as part of the diagnosis.

LSV Repair Tip

Before replacing the motor for poor suction, check the vacuum for clogged filters, a full bag, hose obstructions, and blockages in the air path. These problems can dramatically reduce suction even when the motor is operating normally.

If the motor has failed, inspect the motor pulley, drive belt, wiring connections, and surrounding cleaner-head components while the machine is disassembled. Also make sure the motor and rubber mounting are seated correctly during installation.
