I had an Oreck XL for 10 plus yrs, loved it. The guy at the store convinced me to try the new version..this model they are advertising. I tried it for 3 months..took it in, told them hair wraps around roller. Their solution was to have me cut the hair out and then the vacuum would magically suck it back in and get rid of it. Every time I vacuum, I have to clean hair out of roller. I took it back after 6+ months and the guy told me they couldn't help me..but I could buy a new one! Well, Oreck, you just lost a customer. I will never buy another Oreck. The design is poor and I don't think I should have to cut hair off the roller every time I vacuum..not when you pay $ 500.
