Dyson & Shark Vacuum Repair Information
At Lone Star Vacuum, we believe in repairing and supporting the products we sell for the long term. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers support independent vacuum stores with the parts, technical information, and training required to properly service their machines. Below is important information regarding Shark and Dyson vacuum repairs.
Shark® Vacuum Repairs
Shark vacuums are not designed to be serviced or repaired by independent vacuum stores like ours.
The manufacturer does not provide:
- Replacement repair parts to vacuum stores
- Technical schematics or service manuals
- Safety or repair documentation
Because of this, our ability to repair Shark vacuums is extremely limited.
What we can do:
- Basic inspection
- Minor cleaning and TLC
- Clearing clogs or obstructions
- Replacing select filters (when available)
What we cannot do:
- Motor repairs
- Electrical repairs
- Structural or internal component replacements
If you would still like us to evaluate your Shark vacuum, we offer a non-refundable $45 diagnostic fee.
- This fee covers technician time to inspect the vacuum
- If a simple issue (such as a clog or filter problem) can be resolved, the $45 is applied toward the repair
- If the vacuum is not repairable, the diagnostic fee is still required
Dyson® Vacuum Repairs
Dyson’s repair policy has changed significantly in recent years.
- Until 2020, Lone Star Vacuum was an authorized Dyson repair center
- After 2020, independent repair centers were removed nationwide
- We were still able to purchase genuine Dyson repair parts at wholesale pricing
- As of January 2026, Dyson has discontinued all parts sales to independent vacuum stores
As a result:
- We can no longer perform internal or parts-based repairs on Dyson vacuums
- All repairs must now be handled directly through Dyson
Dyson does offer limited replacement parts directly to consumers through their website at dyson.com, depending on model and availability.

This is one of the key reasons we encourage customers to purchase vacuums from us.
